Ben brings with him more than 25 years of experience in digital product development and management, transformation, innovation, platform delivery, as well as mentorship in intrapreneurship and organisational development across Singapore’s major media organisations.

He is a seasoned product leader with deep expertise in strategising, building, innovating, delivering, and optimising digital products through cross-functional collaboration. His work is grounded in established principles, frameworks, and methods such as Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking, and spans news and content platforms, audio platforms, e-commerce, and AI-powered content production systems.

Prior to joining NUS-ISS, he served as AVP, Product Manager at Mediacorp, where he led the problem–solution fit and implementation of an AI-powered Automatic Speech Recognition and transcription system. Besides delivering significant cost savings and operational efficiencies, while future-proofing content productions amid the rapid pace of AI advancements. Earlier, as AVP, Program Manager for Digital Product Delivery, he led project managers to deliver end-to-end digital products achieving over a 50% improvement in time-to-market through lean workflows and strengthened Agile practices.

He also spent a significant part of his career at SPH and SPH Media in digital transformation, product innovation, and strategic roles. His notable achievements include scaling, customising, and implementing organisation-wide innovation programmes; building product and engineering teams with strong innovation capabilities; establishing Agile ways of working; delivering major digital products across flagship news and radio brands; and mentoring teams that built SaaS products, one achieving SGD$1 million in annual revenue within its first year, and another exiting at a valuation exceeding SGD$1 million.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science from Staffordshire University (UK) and is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). He is committed to fostering a joyful and purposeful workplace, and to creating meaningful impact through teaching, mentoring, and capability development.
